Delhi University Callousness On Faulty Marksheet Remain Unabated

Wake up- wake up University of Delhi Administration and Department of Political Science. Don’t you see that it’s too late? Students are giving anxiety, grief and pain alarms but Still you all are sleeping . It’s too late. Please wake up now and look into our concerns.

As it is already highlighted that On 12th September 2022, MA Political Science 4th semester the result was declared. 174 students who have done their Post-Graduate studies in Political Science from the University of Delhi were shocked upon receiving their marksheets. The reason is not only were the results unexpectedly low, but many students also received a “fail”grade and marked absent also.After watching the results it can be assumed that copies of 174 students were hardly checked and randomly 5 GPA had been given in subjects just to give second division. Due to this most of us are unable to get admissions into PhD courses and errors in marking have serious consequences for those applying for further studies as most student’s marks do not fall into the University’s eligibility criteria of 55 percent for theUGC-NET exam just because of final semester results. International Students also faced the same problem with negative impact in their career.Pwd and Blind students are also going through this trauma. Though concern of the students was submitted to various authorities.

A reminder   Application was also submitted to the VC regarding our concern on 26 /09/2022 ,but still we haven’t received any response from these authorities. 

Due to this negligence from these authorities, students started filing RTI in order to know their actual marks in the answer sheet. Till now more than 200 students filed RTI ,just to know their marks. Some of them received a reply from their RTI along with the answer sheet .They found that in the answer sheet ,they received very good marks, but they were marked failed, zero and 5 GPA. If these students add their external marks along with internal marks , they are getting 7 or 8 GPA in each individual paper but received 5GPA. Many students are still waiting  for their RTI reply .

THERE MAY BE POSSIBLY THAT OUR INTERNAL MARKS WERE  NOT ADDED OR MISTAKE IN PUTTING DATA . RESULTS WERE DECLARED ON THE BASIS OF EXTERNAL MARKS.

 After knowing default through RTI , We have some demands :

There should be amendments in marksheets. 

Revaluation of all students’ results in a proper way because some students  actually received 5 GPA, but there is a possibility that they are also  getting 7 or 8 GPA.

PhD admission for session 2022 should be Postponed.

Pwd  and Blind students are  also hoping that they have scored more than what they received .Their are facing double jeopardy as they are fighting with their situations and irresponsible behaviour from the administrative side towards them.

If the authorities are not going to solve our issue then we all students will move to the High court  and the Supreme Court as per Prima Facie because the University has violated fundamental rights of all these  students.This negligence from university  is destroying our precious time of doing preparation for future related examinations.
