Supreme Court Frees All 3 Convicts of Kiran Negi Rape Case

Kiran Negi rape and murder case, Supreme Court

The supreme court of India monday acquitted three convicts of Kiran negi rape and murder case, where were given death sentenced by the Delhi High Court.

Kiran negi was a 19 years old who had succumbed to her injuries after she was brutally gang-raped and murdered. The three accused Rahul, Ravi, and Vinod had abducted the girl on unfortunate day of 9 feb 2012 as they found the girl with her three friends.

After sexually assaulting the girl, Accused had poured acid on her face and inserted screw driver in her eyes and broken liquor bottle into her private parts. The victim body was found on feb 14 in a open field in Rewari, Haryana.

This case was happened month before the nirbhaya case but failed to gain the media coverage. She was pursuing graduation and working as a data entry operation to support her family. The prosecution claims that crime was terrible in nature as victim was kidnapped and brutally raped and assaulted and left her to die in open field.
